Community has always been the foundation of what I am most passionate about. What brought me to photography was the opportunity it created to immerse myself in various industries. It has led me to travel the world and work with creative talents and brands I have long admired. My greatest professional passion is to create visual content that facilitates engagement with the communities of my clients. I work closely with individuals and marketing teams photographing their products and people with the end result being successful visual communications and cohesive brand aesthetic. After graduating from the London College of Fashion I assisted a New York based Fashion & Beauty Photographer as her travelling assistant. Working closely with her I received incredible mentorship and developed my own style and freelance business as a photographer, which included a quick detour as the Senior Retoucher for a global womenswear company in Vancouver, B.C. After almost two years working in the fashion e-commerce industry I returned to my true passion: working with independent and emerging brands in the beauty, lifestyle, wellness and skincare industries and haven't looked back. Having been a part of both large corporate marketing teams and small agile freelance teams within the fashion industry I understand the investment clients are making and why they are making it. My greatest strength is my pre and post production background which has allowed me to gain a wealth of experience in creating streamlined processes, honing a sharp eye for detail, and developing creative solutions when faced with unique constraints and tight timelines. I have had my hands in everything including: creative concepting; casting; pre production; copywriting; photography; post production; and content creation which has given me invaluable insight into how all of these individual creative components come together. Using a collaborative attitude, I am able to successfully execute on a brands vision and marketing strategy, soliciting feedback along the way. My work has been described as luminous, clean, dynamic, sunny, strong, calm and feminine. I love to create serene and playful imagery that utilizes harmonious colour components. I focus primarily on visual storytelling for brands, developing creative, producing compelling e-commerce product photography, in addition to photographing beauty, skincare, wellness and activewear in editorial and lifestyle contexts. My ideal type of projects are ones where I can contribute to the creative development and concepting of the visuals in collaboration with the client and then execute that vision in studio or on location. I love working closely with creative teams to develop ideas and further elevate the creative concepts for visual communications.
